LibertyOptics

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I had dropped Eotech for a variety of reasons. If there was enough interest here (minimum 10 units) i would be glad to re-up for you guys.

Trijicon ACOG - just say the word. 10 units any model, mix or match, and it's a go. I'll provide GB pricing.

The TA31ECOS would go for $1299 shipped. Is that OK?

:eek:Sweet Jesus!
1299 for an ECOS shipped is a smoking deal.
I'm deployed right now but that price is so freaking hot, i am IN for ordering one if we can get a group buy going. It'll be my welcome gift waiting for me back at home.

Come on guys, i know theres at least NINE more calgunners wanting an acog, and if Scott can pull 1299 for an ECOS im sure he can hook up some deals on the other models.

Umm, in light of my excitement, I forgot to ask, if this goes through do u take credit card? Its about the only way I can pay from out here, unless u want to wait a few weeks for a personal check to arrive.

Can you get Trij to make a TA11F with an attached Docter? :(

I WANT to get the ECOS, but the eye relief on the 4X ACOGS just doesn't cut it for me.

Can you get Elcan SpecterDRs (I know, tall order now...)

*PS - for the guy who was wondering about ACOGs - the TA11F (or amber version) is the one I'd recommend. Generous eye relief and chevron reticle.

How much for a TA-11 (red donut reticle)? Thanks

gunsmithcats
04-25-2008, 12:13 AM
GTXR, most (if not all) acog models will fit with a folding BUIS.

The TA31 is a red doughnut reticle with bullet drop compensator markings on the reticle

The TA31 does not come with a flattop mount, although many other ta31 models do. By default, it can mount in a carry handle, but what u would need to do is buy a mount from guys like la rue or arms.

The ta33r-8 DOES come with a flattop mount.
It has a red chevron in addition to a bullet drop compensator.

I would highly recommend the ta33r8 over the ta31 for numerous reasons. The ta31 is geared towards the m16 platform (20 inch barrel) so your bullet drop compensator will be pretty off, whereas the ta33r8 is ballistically matched for a 14.5 in barrel, much more similar to your 16 in barrel.
Both have dual illumination (fiber and tritium) Also, the TA33r8 is cheaper, ( i think like 200 bucks cheaper) and comes with the mount,s o udont have to spend extra on it.

The only thing ur losing is the 4 x magnification, the ta31 is 4x and the ta33r8 is 3x.

no big woop though.

Also, bear in mind with the ballistic drop compensators that they will vary slightly depending on the ammo u use (the acogs are usually geared towards 62 gr, m855 ammo)

Im by no means an expert on the acogs but if u have any questions, i'll try to help out. Like to get as many people into the buy :)

Hey Will,
How things back in the states.
I'm pretty sure the ta 11's can retrofit a trijicon reddotsite or a doctor optic. All u need to do is buy the little mount and the red dot itself, and if u don't want to buy brand name price I know of a couple third party models.

The Elcan Specters definitely peaked my interest, but then I started to hear all the crap about them not locking up well into 4x mode. The level that flips between 1x and 4x is sensitive to its position, and if its not flipped properly your zero is focked. I was a little skeptical about that at first but actually got to play around iwth one a while back that a grunt had. It CAN be a problem if **** got in the way of the toggle lever.

Then again, I don't see that much of a problem in LA, unless zombies chased us into the desert :P

LibertyOptics
04-25-2008, 9:11 AM
Thanks for the great discussion guys, many of you are more knowledgable than I am with the ACOG. I thought Elcan added a locking detent on the 1x and 4x settings to prevent what you described here, but I coud be wrong.

Keep in mind, there are many "letter" designations after the various models whose prices are requested, and this varies the price quotes. Here's GB pricing for three of these as written, WYSIWYG,

TA-11 - $899
TA-31 - $829
TA-33R - $689

TA648-308: 6x48 Trijicon ACOG with Red Chevron Reticle

The military’s need for a magnified, self-luminous tactical sight
that enhances target identification and increases hit probability on
extended-range shots has given rise to the new Trijicon ACOG® 6x48.
Powered by Trijicon’s patented fiber optics and tritium-based
technology, the new TA648-308 ACOG reticle features a red chevron
aiming point. It also incorporates a bullet drop compensator (BDC)
with additional aiming points estimated for trajectory of the 7.62mm
M80 out to 1200 meters. To further improve target acquisition and
hit potential, the new ACOG® 6x48 incorporates Trijicon’s Bindon
Aiming Concept™ (BAC) – a revolutionary both-eyes-open method of
aiming. Like other members of the Trijicon ACOG® line, the new
ACOG® 6x48 is battery free and waterproof to 328 feet.

Scott,

Couple of questions:

1. Can you get the TA31F ACOG 4x32? (http://www.mountsplus.com/miva/graphics/00000001/TJ-TA31F.jpg)

2. Do the ACOG's include the following?
* 1 Flattop Mount
* 1 4x32 Scopecoat
* 1 Medium sized Pelican Case
* 1 Lenspen (LENSPEN)
* 1 Trijicon Logo Sticker
* 1 ACOG Manual
* 1 Warranty Card

That's more like it. Yes, we take Visa/MC/Discover/Amex/PayPal check or MO. We try not to discriminate on payment method, but we do deduct 2% for check/MO :D

3. Is this the out the door shipped price? (TA-31 - $829 (GB Price) -2% ($16.58 for USPS MO) = $812.42).

If yes to all of these, I'd like to be included in the group buy.

Please PM me with order/payment instructions.

Thanks.

Ron

I have two more questions...

1. How much for the TA11F

2. How come a 3.5x magnification scope cost more that the 4x? Supply & demand?? Just curious.

TA11F = $949 shipped.

Trijicon sets their pricing. Certain models that are more used by the military or have other features not found on other models might raise the price.

What comes with the scope will vary by model (except instructions/warranty card). These are coming from Trijicon, they are factory new production scopes. Nothing is added or deleted for any particular model.
