I'm thinking of trading these three rifles into a shop for credit on a purchase but don't have any idea what their current values might be. I know they're not expensive by any means but what would you guys expect to see these guns selling for? Thanks for your help.

1. 1931 Enfield SMLE No.1 MkIII with composite Monte Carlo stock.
2. 1953 Mosin Nagan M44
3. Chinese Paratrooper SKS Carbine

1. Maybe $100-150; more if you have the original wood.
2. $120 for the Mosin.
3. $200 for the SKS

Too bad they're not fs; you'll get more if you can find a C&R buyer. Transfer costs will run up the prices if you have to go through a regular ffl.

What's the dealer suggesting for trade-in value??

I know the top two are not worth very much, but the SKS Paratrooper will bring good money as far as SKS rifles go.

I think you are way off on the SKS. A standard Chinese will bring $200. My guess is north of $300 at least. The troopers are much more rare if it is original.

Dirtbiker, I'll accept that. Thanks.

The two most important questions for these types of rifles have yet to be asked:

1. Are they import marked?

2. Are they factory original (obviously not for number 1, but is the metal at least original)?

Also, over all condition, how heavily fired, bubba'd out of sight, etc. will also factor in heavily. The prices listed above are pretty close to right on, but they could command a premium depending on the points I listed.
