If you buy a gun you can get a new manufactured Mil spec M2 tripod with a 4140 high carbon steel M3 pintle for an additional $450, thats with a gun purchase, as retail is $550 without a gun purchase. They are extremely nice.

Mine functions flawlessly! I highly recommend Allied Armament.:)

Hate to say it, but mine DOESN'T! I've had problems since day 1 and it still isn't fixed. I contacted them about it and they seem to know what the problem is, only thing is they never sent me my missing part (it's been a few months already and no more communication)...

I'm pretty disappointed.

Do you need to purchase the bipod at the same time as the gun to get the discount on the bipod or can you wait a month or so before purchasing the bipod??

As long as you bought the gun from us we will honor the discount purchase price. Thats how we've done it since day one, so you can wait a year to buy it, or any other discounted item with a gun purchase.

Awesome. Even though my bank account says I shouldn't, how can I pass up a price like this on a gun I've wanted for years!

Count me in. (now to go back and read the specifics of actually putting one on order) (edit: just reread the details and I guess my saying I'm in HERE is the first step! so count me in!)

Just like we did for the ppsh group buy we are going to do for this group buy we are going to bump the buy to tier two pricing so no matter what it will not be more than a 1060. If we get ten people I'll drop the price to 1020 I think were over halve way there. Should be a no brainer for most people since parts kits are near obsolete. :(

1020 is the current price, absolutely unbeatable on the current open market as I mentioned before parts kits are becoming non existent and were one of the last companies with them available. This will be an excellent investment, and this is a rare and unique bird for California. Not to mention we have a great track record for reliability :)

"you can call our shop 503-543-5154 and talk to Ryan he'll get you taken care of. Just make sure to tell him your on the group buy and your member name"

Ryan was very helpful with accesories (I got a trunnion saver thingie and the AA sights as well as the spade grips and tripod) , I gave him my credit card info and he gave me their fax number and I had my ffl dealer fax a copy to him so everything is set.

Looking at the pictures AA posted I would hope it wouldnt be long till shipping commences.

Are we allowed to add accessories at the time of payment? I'm still not clear on all the options and would like a couple days to decide.

Additionally, any way we can bribe you to have either mine or Cactus' gun finished extra quick for the big Area 52 shoot in early May? His would be the better choice, since he ordered 1st! :D

My bipod showed up the other day... it looks so very lonely sitting there without anything atop it!!!

A friend came over last night and asked what the tri-pod was for. For some reason he didn't seem too surprised when I told him about the new gun I was waiting for!!

It's been a long while since I've been this excited waiting for a weapon to show up!

Well I have good and bad, first the good:

I have received my 1919A4 in excellent condition. Looks like a quality build, and I probably was one of the first to get it in this group buy.

Now the bad: (Not a rant just my disappointing experience)

Starting April 4th it took me 4 calls to different people on different days to get the M2 Tripod ordered. Finally on April 15th my Credit Card was charged. I have made another 4 different calls now just to try and get the tracking information. (Since now I am not sure if it has even shipped.) Each time I was told that "sorry we have to go through our invoices, we will call you back." Not once was my call returned. On the 4th call I expressed my dissatisfaction/frustration to Ryan. He was very understanding and apologetic and promised to call me the next day. It is now 2:15pm and I still have not received a call with the tracking information. Again I have no idea if the M2 Tripod has shipped.

My intention is not to flame as I have tried and tried to take care of the issue privately via email, Pm's and phone calls with Allied Armament unsuccessfully.
Unfortunately now I feel compelled to seek help publicly.

James can you please PM me with the tracking #. If for some reason the item has not shipped please cancel my order.:(

How long did it take you guys to get your M2 Tripod after your order was placed? Also what was the cost plus shipping? Thanks..

The group buy ended on 3/24, but did seem to trickle on for almost a week. AA did say 4 to 6 weeks for delivery, and some have received their 1919a4's. So, conservatively speaking, we are only a few days past 4 weeks and well short of 6 weeks assuming a 3/24 group buy closure. I don't know why everyone is getting their underwear in a bunch when AA hasn't even had a chance to meet their stated delivery schedule. I'm sure they have real work to do in trying to meet their schedule for this and another group buy without have to hold the hands or over-anxious buyers.

He said 6 weeks, it's been 4.
Looking at how many of us were in on the buy; that's a big order to fill and a lot of us asked for special stuff....like me and my 30-06 barrel.
If I'm not mistaken the group buy also included other websites members as well.

I understand, but also recognize that weak customer service is not an unusual characteristic, especially at small companies with niche markets. Customer service can be very expensive. At least you aren't being pushed off to some call center in India, yet.

I will admit, there are some Calgunners that ship ridiculously fast, but I don't expect everyone to meet the same standard. Riflegear, 10% and CWS beat the snot out of companies like Cabelas when it comes to speed and efficiency. However, AA is in a different business, with a different lead time. You can buy a buttstock almost anywhere, so competition is fierce and price/customer service are significant differentiating factors. How many places can you buy a 1919a4? Its not like they can get one from a different supplier.

there are probably 20 + 1919 vendors currently. john mcguire just got about 400 parts kits a couple weeks ago (i just got my parts kit from him yesterday) so allied is pretty far from having the market cornered. at least they will sort of keep us in the loop time wise unlike henderson defense whom ran the ar-15 & rpk group buy & still has no idea when they will fill the orders. neither allied nor allied has ever returned a call to me once. even after both of them said they would call back with info. seems like customer service must be taken with a grain of salt.

Hey guys sorry about the updates, as someone mentioned we got held up on sideplates. All other parts are ready to go, and the sideplates will be in today or tomorrow. As for cornering the market, there is at this time truly only 3 companies making 1919's for the commercial market. Only two of which are major players that advertise and sell through distributors, Allied Armament and Ohio Rapid fire. Coles Distributing is another one, and jon mcguire does build them for the public although from what I know he only advertises by word of mouth and internet. As for lead time were still looking at another week to two weeks for the rest of the guns to go out. I will let you know when everything is in.

I called on my Spade grips a couple days ago and was told... well, you know... two weeks.

I"m also waiting on AA sights (no eta, and no promissed call-back) and my trunnion protector :(

Been two weeks every two weeks for the last 6 weeks for me. Has anyone received anything with a 30-06 barrel in the last 10 weeks?

I received mine in early April, but then had many problems with a tripod order and getting the run around. I was forced to cancel that order. I now have a tripod and a beautiful AA adapter from Rich @ beltfedshooters.com.

AA is indeed slow with shipping stuff and is very poor at estimating production schedules, no doubt about that. But the saving grace is their workmanship on the 1919s have been top notch. You guys should be quite happy with your weapons, once they do show. So don't sweat the delay too much, they will come thru with a nice product.

Also call and don't PM, you will get better response, even if it takes a few attempts to reach them. During the last group buy here, it was the same story with missed delivery dates but I believe everyone in the end were happy with their 1919s.

PS: If anyone is looking for a M2 tripod, Cole Distributing has units for $325. They are USGI that have been to Israel and back, but in good condition for shooting. Must call them direct as it is not on their website yet.

I called them several times and I was told in a couple of weeks twice already. Last time was a couple of weeks back. Time to call again and see what the ETA will be.

Overall I am excited, I don't even mind that my card was charged, since I know they are in production, but I just hate to wait so long for something I really want to shoot!:D

houston we have a problem.
i got my 1919 thursday afternoon, just in time to take to area 52.
looks great! does not work for crap!

problem # 1 = the bolt is plain worn out! the feed channel / grooves that the brass base slide into are sooo worn out that the brass will not drop out the bottom, they cock sideways while trying to eject & jamb the bolt back nearly every shot. i looked at another guys 1919 & the grooves were much tighter. thought it could be my ammo so we tried his ammo in my 1919 & it jambed, then ran my ammo in his 1919 & it ran with no problems. allied needs to step up & send me a bolt that works!

problem # 2 = the feed pawls (?) do not want to consistantly feed rounds. some times it would only pull one round then not be able to pull the next in to load the chamber. i can not tell what the problem is. tried feeding the belt both ways to see if one is better than the other. (feed single empty loop or double empty loops first?)

problem # 3 = same as aaron horracks gun, they did not install the rivet / pin that mounts on the RHSP that the forward 7.62 feed guide slides over, causing it to be loose. after all the muckety muck over on shoot1919a4.com about the problems with aarons gun & rivet i would have thought they would fully assemble & test these guns before shipping. if you already have your allied 1919 make sure to check to see that they installed the front rivet in yours. if you don't have your yet, make sure to check when it arrives.

all in all i am VERY upset with the performance of this gun. allied needs to make this right. i will publicly post the results of their warranty repairs so everyone will know how this turns out.:mad::mad:

Sorry to hear that. I had similar problems. They promised to fix it several times (this is ongoing since Nov. 2007) and they still haven't done anything but give me false hope. So, I did what I should have done in the beginning. I got it fixed myself. Ran well, but we'll see what happens down the road. So far, I'm just OK with the gun, but a little disappointed with the "warranty"

please send me a ups call tag & i'll box it up so you can fix it properly.
as for the cart stop, my gun is a .308 & this is not an option that i know of but a part that was factory installed on all izzy .308's. i would appreciate it if you would complete my 1919 & test fire it to make sure that it runs right this time. additionally, when you install the rtivit you will need to reparkerize the receiver as well, at no cost to me, since this should have been done originally.

how long will i have to wait for the repair to be done?

It was never returned to them. They seemed to know exactly what the problem was so they promised to send me the part (a $5 part!) but they never sent it. I attempted to have them ship it many times, but they never made good on their promise. Even after this statement (see the first page, post # 14):

I'm the majority shareholder of the company so if you want your repair or problem to be fixed just pm me and I can have a shipping slip out to you buy tomorrow. I can make things happen fast, if you know what I mean

Hate to say it, but mine DOESN'T! I've had problems since day 1 and it still isn't fixed. I contacted them about it and they seem to know what the problem is, only thing is they never sent me my missing part (it's been a few months already and no more communication)...

I'm pretty disappointed.

Knucklehead,
In your previous post on this gun not having the 30.06 stop you cited the post Aarron did on the 1919 forum. In that thread Allied clearly stated it was an option and only done on 30-06 (ie not .308) weapons but in Aarron's case they would do it as a concession to him. They also clearly stated that for anyone else wanting it installed it would be $30. So I do believe you knew about it.

Now for your comment that all 1919A4 builder put them in, no that is not correct either. ORF, OOW, TNW are a few along with AA (who is also building guns to TNW's ATF letter standards per their ATF ruling) that have not install the 30.06 stop on .308 guns they have built. But others like McGuire, T&S do indeed build them that way without asking, along with a ship full of private builders.

With all that said, I personally would want it on any 1919a4 I owned and I do have them.

mabey i am describing the wrong part. i am refering to the round post that is riveted to the top front of the right side plate that the 7.62 guide slides over, not the small sharp angled guide just to the rear of the feed opening on the right side plate.

You are talking about the 30.06 stop. It is not "technically" needed as your .308 stop is still locked in place with the pawl pin. But as you noted, w/o the 30-06 stop, it will rattle more. But then most will still rattle even with the '06 stop in place. Regardless, if you are like me, I would want it for the sake of completeness and to be able to shoot '06.
http://1919a4.com/tutorials/images/109714.jpg

The main reason AA doesn't use it is that they are following TNW's semi-auto design to the tee, and it excludes the stop as well. On the other hand this can be installed by the user quite easily. Either rivet on or just thread it into the RHSP as others do. But in your case I would have AA install it when they take a look at your weapon for the other reasons you noted.

These constant delays really suck, but just remember that these 1919A4s are running out. TNW is now offically stopping the build of them and AA is following closely behind. All because the parts are drying up fast for these weapons. Once these two firms stop building their remaining stock, there will only be a few boutique type shops still building for custom orders (you supply parts, plate, ect and still pay $600-$700 to have them build it). So make sure your weapon is complete and works like a top once you do get them from AA. Then enjoy them, because in a few years only second hand 1919A4s will be available.

Hunter, you are wrong on some of these points. i got a parts kit from john mcguire a month ago for $385 inc. shipping. he had 400 kits. the guy he got them from the week before had many THOUSANDS of kits in his warehouse. they are far from being dried up. john builds them for a few hundred bucks, not $600-$700 & they are hand built by john, whom you will not find any online complaints about, unlike AA. you need to supply the RHSP, trigger, sear, & rivets, but his kits have everything else.

John builds guns in .308 for $1200 (includes kit price) and $1385 for one in 30-06. If you supply everything (including a 100% RHSP it is $600 with 3-4 week wait per his email last night). Having a thousand kits is not much. Do you realize there were over 100,000s of these kits just a few years ago? Coles is down to a few hundred. TNW is stopping their builds. AA is stopping their builds. Rguns stock is very small. The list goes on.

My point is these kits are indeed drying up and the prices are going up as well. Major builders are stopping production. In the last 4 years they have already doubled as the supply runs down. Will you be able to get a kit in 5 years, probably but it will cost you more than what the full guns costs today. Take a look at the Maxim, FN30s, Vickers, ect.. All have jumped 3x, 4x, 5x over their original prices and now sell for $1000 - $1200 on the maxim and vickers. Just for the parts. Add another $1200+ for RHSP/LHSP/conversions, ect..

Hunter your point is well taken and we do understand that these kits and complete guns will be harder and harder to come by.

The problem is when you're quoted 4 weeks and it ends up being 14+ it can get a bit frustrating.

Hunter your point is well taken and we do understand that these kits and complete guns will be harder and harder to come by.

The problem is when you're quoted 4 weeks and it ends up being 14+ it can get a bit frustrating.

Order date - Feb 19th 2008
Credity Card Bill Date - Feb 26th 2008
Ship Date - May 21st 2008
Scheduled to arrive on - May 27th 2008

*sigh*

Agreed, and it would piss me to no end as well. I feel for you guys still waiting here so I was just trying to give you a little brightness in all of the darkness. You guys got a good price vs current market but this wait is something else.

Edit to add: I have dealt with AA over the years and have seen this wait before..many times. The one thing I do, whenever I have an order outstanding, is keep in touch with them via phone, which is not always that easy either. But be it Albie, James, Ryan, Nathan, ect.. it didn't matter to me, I call them all and kept the pressure up. Result is that I usually got my items within a week or 2 of their estimates or knew exactly what was going on (parts missing, ect.). I didn't just post on the various forums, expecting them to answer as some folks seem to do these days. These guys are as slow as molassas and cannot provide a production schedule to save their soul.

what pisses me off more than the wait is that the damn thing does not even work!!!

If you want a quick understanding of the issues, pick up the phone and call John on the issues. Even though it is not his product, He will be more than glad to discuss the issues with you and pinpoint the problems. That man has forgotten more on these weapons than most will ever know to start with.

So did all of A4's get mailed out? I figure I'll give them a call tuesday morning to see if they did. I plan on doing a DROS Tuesday and it would suck if it doesn't show up in the 30 days.

Thefifthspeed, as of 5/21 they told me (Allied) that they were waiting on sears, and hopefully by next week. Personally I am over waiting and I think tommorow I am going to call and request a refund. Maybe they did ship allready, I dont know.

If I wasn't so quick to buy things (M2 tripod and ammo) I would have already cancled the order by now. But since I can't return the stuff I already bought and don't want to take a hit reselling it I am at the mercy of Allied. I'd be happy if they could get it to me by the end of June....

I am stuck with all the "other" pertaining stuff I have already received. If it was only the gun - I would jump on the REFUND. My card was charged March 26th!!!! And still no gun!:mad::mad:

My 1919 arrived at my FFL yesterday. Credit card was billed on February 26th.

It sure looks nice though. We'll see how it fires in a couple of weeks.

I was shorted about a dozen links out of the 100 I was supposed to get.

All sears came in today, every single 1919 from the group buy will be shipped by Monday afternoon. If you'd like a tracking number pm me and I will get it to you by tuesday morning. Sorry for the delay we got a little held up but you will be getting a high end piece for very cheap, actually cheaper than anywhere else.

Thanks for popping in for an update. I emailed you guys a couple days ago about possibly upgrading to a 30.06 barrel and haven't heard anything back. I was wondering if it was too late to do this.

ITs not to late but I would call today 503-543-5154.

As for not getting updates up here sooner, i'm terribly sorry I left last tuesday for Huatabampo Mexico on a mission trip with the local church and I didn't get back until last wednesday where on my return I had a major case of montazuma's revenge, it sucked. Heres a link to some of the pictures http://www.pro-vision.blogspot.com/ on picture five i'm surrounded by like 50 kids after I was doing some gymnastics for the kids, and picture 13 i'm laying some bricks at the new mission (i'm the guy who has the shirt tied to his head like a pirate). I'm not heavily religious I just was doing it to contribute my time for once, it was probably one of the better experiences of my life, a lot of work, but a lot of fun.

Anyway all pms will be responded to by tuesday morning. Thanks for your patience, and p.s. all of the spade grips will be sent by middle of next week.

Thanks James Malarkey

Thanks for the update, good to know they should be heading out pretty soon. And good work helping out on the mission trip!

If I may ask, are they going out Fedex air or ground?

They are going out via ups and some may send out via usps. Depends on time of pick up from the shippers.
