You can't get an actual AK-47 anywhere in California legally. They are banned by name, and the real ones are FA weapons.

You can get AK "style" rifles from certain dealers. The AK style rifles are SA, and are off-list, and will have no evil features (or will have a fixed magazine).

Please make sure you understand the laws surrounding so-called "assault weapons" before you buy an AK style rifle. You can commit a felony simply by putting a pistol grip or flashhider (or certain other things) on a rifle that has a detachable magazine.

The price will range from around $350 to over $1000, depending on who made it, and what type of receiver it has.

Unless you want to spend less on ammo (Then the WASR 22 is fun and it can have all evil features in PRK except High cap mags)

Build your own. You can build a AK style rifle for under $300 easy.

build now while kits w/barrels are still available. if you want to spend more and work less, get a 100%, off list reciever. motherwise, get a flat and look into build parties in your area.

I've personally built 2 and have helped build 4 others. All from flats. There is nothing more satisfying than shooting your OWN ak that you build yourself. All it takes is lots of patience, time, and tools. Look for a build party in your area if you are not tool savvy. But that is definitely the way to go. :43:
