…so I replaced the rear sight with a Mojo Micro Click. I also replaced the front sight post with a KNS duplex crosshair reticle style post. I dabbed a tiny amount of fluorescent red paint at the intersection of the crosshairs and this is what I got. The photo of the sight picture is not centered, but you get the idea. Not bad for a total investment of $85. An inexpensive alternative to a red dot optic! :D:D

If I ever need to, I'll be ready!!:36:

But seriously, I'm almost 50 and this really helps me since I cannot shoot with irons very well due to poor eyesight.

went through that with my 2 aks. i've never met anyone who actually liked ak sights. (maybe mtk himself) my eyes are fixed now(cataract surgery) and i find mine usable. am considering a mojo. my current build will have a topcover peep sight. not sure if i like the crosshair f/s.

XS AKM 24/7 Big Dot Front & Rear sights are the probably best sights available on the market right now and for around 120 bucks for front and rear it won't break the bank... I run them on all of mine and I know plenty of High speed guys that use them overseas

+1 I've heard nothing but good things about XS sights.

I have never used them but they are IMO way better than the KNS sights. An AK isn't a tack driver, you need a fast speed sight that is easy to pick up way more than you need a precision crosshair.

i like my ak sights better than the peep on my m16 upper

it works great for yardage/meterage

i mean come on how many people really adjust windage once is set the only variable i need to worry about is gravity

Normal AK sights work fine for me on a rifle but on pistol builds the sight radius is way too short, I wonder if this set-up would make a difference.

I went the cheap WECSOG route and stuck a laser on my latest

Got them both at Midway:

The Krebs AK REAR SIGHT RECEIVER RAIL SYSTEM CATALOG NUMBER 51 is an interesting alternative but I did not want to spend $275

You aim an AK? Just point it, spray and prey! 8)

But you lose half turn when your adjusting or sighting.
