Thinning the collection of rifles I don’t shoot.

I'm offering these up exclusively on Calguns till next sunday for my CA brothers (and sisters). Next sunday I will be posting them on the Gunboards Trader.

I WILL BE IN NAPA NEXT SATURDAY, MARCH 15TH IF SOMEONE WANTS TO BUY ONE AND DO A FTF THERE.

All rifles must ship to a FFL – 01, 03 C&R, etc unless the transfer is made FTF in CA.
Prices do NOT include shipping or insurance. Shipping from ZIP is 95682.
I can do a FTF transfer in the Sacramento, CA. area with current valid I.D.

I HAVE A C&R LICENSE, SO MY RECORDING INFORMATION FROM YOUR I.D IS REQUIRED FOR A FTF TRANSACTION.

Payment is to be made by USPS Money Order. No checks or CC. Cash is acceptable for a FTF transaction.

NO TRADES at this time.

Chilean ZAR 1893 Mauser 7mm $450 SOLD

This not the same as an OVS marked Mauser. Metal is near 100% with a bright shiny bore. NOT import marked. The wood has a beautiful grain and has all the correct markings, with almost no blemishes. Very accurate rifle with hand loaded ammo.

Note: I had this rifle sold once before, but on closer examination by the buyer it was determined that the stock had been stripped and refinished at some time in it’s past (not by me). My experience / lack of expertise kept me from knowing this. Since the buyer was looking for a truly original unissued sample I agreed to take it back and refund his money. He commented in an email that if not for the stock being refinished the rifle was almost museum quality.

Venezuelan 24/30 7mm $575 SOLD

It appears to be unissued. Metal is near 100%. Wood is in excellent condition except for a couple storage dents that can be seen in the pictures. Comes with sling which may or may not be a reproduction. Bright shiny bore, and an outstanding crest. NOT import marked.

Two pages of detailed pics can be seen here:

SOLD Swede 94/14 Mauser dated 1916 6.5x55 $500 SOLD

In very good condition. The end cap and barrel band numbers do not match. All the other numbers match. I do not know if the stock numbers match as I have not had the wood off. Not import marked that I can see. Comes with sling. Bore is good with some darkness in the grooves.

Czech 98/22 Mauser 8mm $185

Blueing is mostly gone and is now a brown patina. Wood has a good grain to it, but shows signs of use. Who ever had this rifle took very good care of it, as the bore is bright and shiny. Head space is good and the bolt does not close on a No Go gauge. No pitting on the bolt face. Very accurate. I was using it for milsurp silhouette matches till I aquired an unissued Persian. CAI import marked.

I installed a taller front sight blade for the milsurp matches to have a 200 meter zero. I still have the original front sight blade that will be sent with the rifle. I never took the wood off and it still sweats oil. Should look outstanding if cleaned well.

Mosin Nagant 91/59 7.62 x 54r $165 SOLD

In unissued condition. Izhevsk round receiver. Don’t know the date on the receiver tang as I have not had the wood off. The wood and metal is excellent, and the bore is bright and shiny with NO darkness, pitting or frosting. Comes with sling. Import maked on the receiver. The numbers on the receiver, bolt and floor plate all match.

The 91/59 were made from cut down 91/30 rifles, so the barrel is heavier than a M38 or M44, which gives better and more consistent accuracy. With my hand loads this rifle would regularly shoot 1-1/2 MOA or better with the iron sights from the bench. There’s a picture of a typical target on the picture page.

Mosin Nagant Finnish M39 1970 Sneak 7.62 x 54r SOLD PENDING FUNDS

Currently this rifle has a Darrell’s Scout mount with a Leupold FX II 2.5X Scout scope mounted to it. (which IMO is the best scout scope scout mount combo out there)

1) Rifle with original issue rear sight (no scope or mount) - $275

Scope and mount were sold separately.

In unissued condition with a new barrel and new post war stock. Has the hex receiver. None of the numbers match. Import marked. Blueing is 100% as is to be expected. Super accurate! No cleaning rod or sling.
