Ive been playing around with making a knife from a fierier rasp. And this is what i came up with. Grips are hand carved from tiger rosewood, with hand rubbed true oil finish. And i had to inlay a 45acp casings, well cuz i love that round. Had the blade heat treated to 62rc and tempered. Before i finished it i chopped some wood, pryed on it, and beat it on the concrete and it didn't chip or break, so i guess i did something right

Very nice ! I admire good metal work . And that grip just glows !
Ps : if you mill a slot next to the shell inlay then you have a bottle opener too.

i parted off on a lathe just the rim of some spent rounds and counterbored the knife about .020 bigger than the rim and about .010 deeper than the rim thickness, then high strength epoxy.

This was my first attempt at leather work, but I'm pretty satisfied. Thanks for looking and all the positive feedback
