Alright so I have a Stag M4 upper with a M.I. Railed 2 piece forend. It is not a freefloating one.

I just bought a Millett DMS scope and the front sight post is in the way. I HATE it, I would like to convert it to a folding gas block front sight. Is there a way to do this? From what I understand I believe you can but I am not sure. Anyway, let me know if you know someone that can do the work or if u would like to help...

I'm thinking either MI gas block or YHM folding sight gas block.

Let me know! Thank you!

scroll down the page...

or if you're ever in the West LA area, give randall (ar15barrels) a pm/call and i'm sure he'll be able to perform the removal and install of a gas block...

hammer and a punch?

that's all you need... that and a couple of blocks of wood to support the upper/barrel...

Well if I could have someone help me out I could do it in the future I just don't want to start hammering at my prized AR without knowing what to do.

I have knocked off 3 FSB off 3 barrels. You really don't need a gunsmith to this kinda work, especially when it takes less than 30 minutes.

If you don't have a hammer and a punch get to a hardware store. I just set the rifle on carpet and start banging away. Make note of which way the pins should be knocked out if it applies. Who cares about the FSB? They are cheap and your knocking it off and discarding it for a reason.

I just did one yesterday on my Stag 16'' barrel, took me about 20 minutes on the first pin and less than 2 on the second. I **** you not.
