I'd say it's only legal if you registered your 1919 as an AW. Also, I think that kit costs more than most people have paid for their 1919s.

A better question would be, Why would you want that abomination of a firearm? It looks like an M240 raped a 1919 and this is the bastard of that union.

To each his own, I guess. :)
Also, that kit costs $700. Could you please show me where I can buy a 1919 for that price? Please!

A 1919a4 is CA Legal,
the one in the photo is not because the pistol grip is under.
Just like the M60D is legal with the spade grip assy

Yeah, but for $700 all you get is a barrel, rail system, pistol grip and stock. It doesn't come with a working 1919. You need to shell out another $1000+ in addition to that kit to be able to make it a functioning firearm.

Not legal.
Semi-auto, belt-fed, shoulder mounted rifle, with a pistol grip.
It is an assault weapon under SB23 standards.

Yes, but another posted stated the kit cost more than some people paid for a 1919. I'd be perfectly happy with a 1919 in "stock" configuration if I could pick one up for that price.

How much work is involved in assembly once the machining of internal parts is done?

all you need to do is to use a few c- clamps and then set the rivets a very easy build....
