i talked to a leo and they said that mace is illegal in california

and i said it is lawful there was nothing i could say to convince her

does this section allow non felons non drug addicts to possesss and use mace for self defense or not?

the first part seems to allow it but the second article confuses me

also the section about a tear gas billies has me intrigued

could this be a loophole to the billie club law if your billie club squirts some tear gas?

"Tear gas" as used in this chapter shall apply to and include all liquid, gaseous, or solid substances intended to produce temporary physical discomfort or permanent injury through being vaporized or otherwise dispersed in the air, but does not apply to, and shall not include any substance registered as an economic poison and 12403.7.
