What is the purpose of disgracing the peoples right to bear arms , with this technology aimed at creating legislative mandates on what can be owned?

You will be boycotted out of biz for this.

I know I won't be buying ANY of the "new technology" promoted by unconstitutional laws, coming from our "public servants".

Unfortunately, there will be people buying them. If the companies can't make a profit, expect our "leaders" to subsidize their little pet projects from our tax money, and continue to try and ban everything except these "smart" guns.

I have family that regularly visit your business and after telling them about how your shop has basically f**ked us as gun owners they will no longer be supporting your establishment. You better be making a lot of money off this (smart gun) cause it looks like you just lost a lot of customers from all the post I've seen here on cal guns.

I am never going to your establishment.

I will advise shooting friends to avoid you too. As a local, our shooting choices are already limited, and we've just scratched you off the list, which is truly sad.

Anti-gunners are traitorous fools that deserve no freedoms whatsoever. Pro-gunners that sell out their own for profits deserve worse.

Thanks for rolling us under the bus. I hope karma is swift and complete.

What the hell happened? I missed something.

I saw they had an armatix banner on their fence at one point, is that what this is about? Are they selling this monstrosity?

ETA: Okay I see there was an article with Jim in it. Screw them. I have spent at least $5K there, and my friend has spent at least double that. My membership just ran out, I won't be renewing that. After Victor left, and then Shawn left I could see their was something going on with ownership/management.

I can't believe they are selling this thing. You've lost a longtime customer. I'll let Ryan know to take me off your mailing list. Unbelievable!

I just read an article myself. Here it is.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/we-need-the-iphone-of-guns-will-smart-guns-transform-the-gun-industry/2014/02/17/6ebe76da-8f58-11e3-b227-12a45d109e03_story.html

"James Mitchell, the “extremely pro-gun” owner of the Oak Tree Gun Club, north of Los Angeles, isn’t one of the skeptics. His club’s firearms shop is the only outlet in the country selling the iP1. “It could revolutionize the gun industry,” Mitchell declared."

I like OakTree, and I hope this does not come back to bite him. Personally I don't get it. But it has me rethinking renewing my membership.

You might want to send them an email as well. At least I did.

I fully encourage everyone to call, email, fax and spread the word to their shooting buddies until Oak tree can come up with some sort of response because this came up in august 2013 and they have been dead silent about it and they are going to lose a lot of customers which is a shame since I do enjoy the range's but i see this as nothing but a greedy backstabbing attack against those of us not extremely wealthy who hunt in africa and alike and pricing a hobby and self defense out of the reach of the common customer.

Here is a big thread going on about it currently if anyone is interested.

I like Oaktree, I really do and if your statement is correct how about posting a copy of the letter on Corporate letter head that I am sure you must be sending to the media who initiated this article demanding a correction and/or retraction. Maybe then we can understand what happened and you may just save yourself from a "Zumbo" moment.

So Oaktree, why have you had that Armatix banner on your fence since last year then? If you weren't planning on selling it, why would you have that 6 foot banner up?

ETA: I won't bother. I found Armatix USA FFL08 linked to your Coltrane address. You are knee deep in it. I'm disgusted.

Wonder how Oak tree feels now after laying in bed with Armatix who was presenting their product at the UN in 2012 and proposing not only the stupid smart gun tech with the watch but GPS Tracking, Smart Locks and smart transport.

Way to go Oak Tree... Way to go...

I like Oak tree, the range is beautiful, nice sales, great selection the kids that work there are outstanding.
I think they were mislead by armitrix and thought they were doing something right by offering the newest and neatest. I think armitrix balderdashed them and they didn't realize the implications of offering this product.

You'd better ask everyone to spread the word, then, because according to...well, everyone, you're the only place selling it.

You really ought to check into who you do business with, before you do it - seeing as Armatix admits the company's shared goals with global disarmament efforts! (http://www.veooz.com/news/dGyDnOo.html)

Listen, we all make mistakes. Instead of a denial, why do you just admit you blew it and let us all move on? Maybe put out a press release or two (or 12) of your own?
