I ordered some of these Taurus Hex copper bullets in 45acp 185 grain and man I have never seen such a deep cavitied hollow point. Has any one ever shot these im wondering how they will perform as there fairly light for a 45 and pure copper. I figured I only paid 12.00 for a box they were worth a try.

I shot some of the Taurus bullets with the Barnes 185gr. hollowpoint the other day to test function in a Wilson Combat CQB. No problems with function in weapon after I recrimped all of the rounds prior to firing.

I don't know what kind of a defense round it will make but Corbon is now loading this bullet, you won't get those at $12.00 a box.

The huge cavity helps the bullet expand up to the barrel on the way down, because copper is much harder than lead.

Uh The huge cavity is on the front of the bullet to help it expand when it hits the target because copper is harder than lead. It doesn't do anything to the bullet inside the barrel because the bullet should already be the same diameter (actually about .001 larger) than the barrel;)

Call Barnes and ask them if they will send you their "bullet myths busted" DVD. Don't believe everything you read on this forum or the internet. Find the truth from the manufacturer! Also, if you're ever in Utah, call and see if you can arange a tour of their facility.
