Hello Cal Gunners
I'm making a parts list for my first build and need your opinions and recommendations for BUIS, I'll be using a Eotech 557.AR223 on a LMT upper.
Thank you in advance

ARMS #40 (http://www.armsmounts.com/catalog.php?action=110&cat_id=4) is pretty much a standard; I also have/use the GG&G MAD (http://www.gggaz.com/index.php?id=64&parents=38,40) and the .mil issue Matech.

Lot's of good info here (http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=18&t=206233&page=1) as well.

I'm going with one of their rear BUIS on my new AR. Is it sad that I'm getting it in FDE to color coordinate with my stock and furniture :)?

I've got an ARMS #40 too and it's served me quite well on one of my ARs.

Troy... But ARMS would be a good choice as well.

Yes. Black doesn't reflect light back into the operators sight picture.

But wouldn't any matte color not reflect light into the sight picture?

The entire Troy BUIS isn't FDE; since the aperture is black shouldn't it prevent that probllem?
