Wondering if someone could save me some time from hopping shop to shop.

Are there any dealers in the Sac area that stock a Saiga rifle in .223 or 7.62x39?

I might be interested in getting the sporter(?) style one (are they still legal?) and wanted
to handle one before I actually decided.

Anyone?

Thanks. Hope i'm not asking a stupid question. & don't bother to reply if all you're going
to say to use the search feature ;)

I am quite confident there are no local shops selling them. Only the typical few who will transfer them. I'd love to be proven wrong though :D

Irvington Arms???

haha. I've been there twice.

I hardly consider a 2 hour 30 minute drive to a gun shop in the "Sacramento Area"

Yeah, thats way too far. I just want to handle one, and see how it feels on my shoulder. Oh well.

You're out of luck. You'll have to order one and have it transfered.

I know that River City Arms won't carry them. They say that they are listed by name, despite it being a different company.

First, yeah, it's legal. Second, I got one a couple of weeks ago. I ordered from DD's Ranch and had them send it to Snellings Firearms. Worked great: was ready when the DROS was complete. You'll get a good deal form both DD's and Snellings: highly recommended.:)
