I'm putting a wood MMG on an ak with kvar furniture and was wondering if anyone has every painted a wood MMG black, and what paint you recommend. Thanks in advance.

I think it would look good stained red!
If you want a black grip - just get a regular MMG with the AK adapter.
EDIT: here's my famous recipe for "meth" red:
It's called that as a joke, BTW. . .

Try the truck bed liner paint. I would think that would be a good strong black paint.

The Wood grip is SOOO much better than the 'adapted' AR grip. The wood grip was made for the AK. The other was adapted. The wood one is VERY solid on the rifle. The adapted grip has a slight bit of flex to it. Also, the wood grip was made 'fatter' so it felt better in your hand. So it is really nice to hold in your hand.
It doesn't matter what you paint it to look like, it is how it functions and how it feels in your hand that is important.
