I just bought 4 packs of them online, still waiting for shipment. Are they any good? Does anyone have a picture of a 10/22 with the magazine inserted?

plastic feed lips:18:

they might work for plinking. mostly good for clearing malfunction practice. if they do work it won't last as the feed lips ware very fast.

midway has factory mags for $10...

Eagle mags tend to suck.
For a 10/22 you want metal feed lips.
Factory mags are best but the old, and I mean old butler creek mags I have are nice.
At least to old ones with the metal lips are.
The Eagles are OK for plinking.

They are very good mags. The only problem is, they only last about 1,500 rounds each at the most.

back in teh 90s i would go down to walmart and buy a new 30 rounder every week for $9.97 every couple weeks one would split down the middle or the feed lip would crack off

i did like the extended mad release on them though

after about 9 of them i bought some butler creek hotlips from big-5 for $13.95 they all still work more than 10 years later

i still have one eagle 30 rounder i never used jsut for a collector item funny it doesn't have the metal rear lock nub

maybe i should post a pic of my spiffy 10/22 mag collection

My advice is stick with Ruger original or Butler Creek STEEL LIPS (not Hot Lips) mags. Every plastic lipped mag that I have used has died on me with in 500 rounds.

The Eagle and Ram Line mags have been the worst. The Eagles wouldn't even stay in the rifle. They were too small and the mag catch wouldn't hold em in. This was on three different 10/22s.

I have a bunch of the butler creek 10rd with the steel lips, but I don't like the way they are shaped in the back and also I don't want them to be clear, I need something in a darker color, I want the magazines to look good with the rifle, I have a black stock, I don't really care if the eagles break after a couple thousand round, they're very cheap, like $9 for 2 mags

I'm not an Eagle fan, but I bought a bunch from CDNN for $3.99 each. Don't know if they still carry them.

Eagle mags are crap. BTDT.
My Butler Hotlips 25rnder has lasted me 11 years and is still going strong. It's the quality of the plastic they use.

they made loads of them before 1994 then they had to only sell them to canadians and australians in 1994 big % sold them for $13.99
by 1998 i saw them at gunstores for up to 50-75 i personally paid $30 for one just to have a new one right before the 2000 ca mag ban

i definatly prefer the hotlips to the steellips

the eagle mags arent that bad if you are gentle but me and my friends all have hammer hands and its hard for anything to survive

if you dont have an extended magazine release these really convienient
just keep any chemicals away

eaton supply 25/22 came with "amt lighting"
spanking never used eagle 30 rounder with "lip shield" i'll use it when the butler creek stops
ramline doublestacker 30 never used (i dont want to break it, i broke one sent it back to ramline they sent me this then went out of buisness)
black butler creek 25 mag i bought with my first 10/22 in 1992 i use it every time i go shooting along with its twin brothers
condor 25 round with steel feed lips (not my favorite since it leaves a bunch of little bullet shavings in my reciever like a bunch of little fingernails)

I've used my butler creek hot lips and they have served me well through the 10000 plus rounds I've put through my Ruger. Pair it up with the butler creek quick loader and you'll burn through a brick of 500 and wish you brought another one.
