Just got my late Christmas present from my wife, a custom tactical tomahawk from Derick Rougeau. This tomahawk use 6150 spring steel with G10 scale, comes complete with a Kydex sheath. Three models of tomahawk is available by Derick, my wife picked this one for me because of its versatility. It is a tomahawk, hammer, and pry bar all in one. I also really like the grinding on the G10 scale, it provide a firm grip on the entire handle. It also have a nice weight on it, but not too heavy, it can be carry the whole day without a sweat.

A little information about Derick (I am not advertising for him, just admire his works). I met Derick a couple of years ago at Big Reno Gun Show, I am a vendor there and his booth was right next to mine. I got a couple of custom knifes from him in the past (large bowie & tactical tanto), this is my third custom piece from him, currently he is working on a more traditional tanto for me. One thing that is really unique about Derick is that he is a professional graphic designer / part time knife maker. He have a lot of really aggressive designs, and use a lot of influences from video games and movies. Anyone going to Big Reno Gun Show, be sure to stop by his booth and check out some of the stuff that he have. Also, ask him to show you his hundreds of designs in his Ipad, a lot of interesting stuff.

Price is reasonable for a custom piece this size, around mid 4. Here are picture of my custom tactical tanto from Derick. I am thinking to ask him to make me those carbon fiber scale for the tomahawk.

Try ATC, American Tomahawk Company. Their VTAC LaGana hawk is a true workhorse, rock solid, but throws and sticks like a champ as well.

Only complaint you here is that some people dont like the "slippery" feel of the handle. I've not experienced that, but any easy fix is add grip tape if you want.
