I'm taking my LMT upper to AR15Barrels tomorrow to get a perm flash device attached. I was thinking of getting the front sight replaced with a low profile or railed front gas block. I'm just thinking it may look kind of stupid because the CASV has that notch for the front sight in front on the top.

Anyone seen any photos with a low profile front gas block?

low-profile gas blocks are really for longer rails, so you can go over them. You'd see the gas block past the rail just hanging out there in space.

I'd suggest sticking with the standard FSB. Alternatively you could sell the CASV, have Randall put on a Daniel Defense 9" rail and an VLTOR lo profile gas block.

Yeah, this is purely for cosmetic reasons, I'm just not a fan of the delta front sight post. I was hoping to just get a railed or flip up front gas post.

I should be bringing him two uppers tomorrow, the LMT upper and a RRA LAR-9 upper so maybe i'll just get the front post removed on the LAR-9 since it doesn't have a gas system anyway.

Looks like it's already been done:

What's that funky looking bipod attached to the forearm?

Keep the regular FSB. It looks unbalanced, IMHO. Like I said, if you really want Low-Pro, dump the CASV when you're at Randall's and get a regular rail over it. You'll be able to sell it.

That bipod is a GripPod - bipod/VFG

Left the front sight as is. However, now with the CASV installed, there's a tiny bit of space in the rear with 1 rail left for a RBUIS, will any RBUIS fit?

From the pic you posted it looks like the guy has a Troy on his upper.
