View Full Version : Fill in thumbhole stock

I remember seeing pics of someone that filled in a thumbhole stock. Care to repost here? I have a bunch of 30 rounders from back in the 90s when I bought my MAK (which is in the process of being rebuilt as CA legal!!!!). If I just plug the thumbhole can I use these?

Thumbhole stock plugged will make non-pistol grip.
Make sure there are no other features like flash hider, etc. on the rifle.
Then you can drop the mag freely and use any capacity mag you owned before the ban.

I don't want to modify the stock permanently, so I'm thinking a removeable thumb stock plug. I'll work on something today and post a pic later to see what anyone thinks...

If this is for an AR I have one in my attic - I made one of the "oar stocks" as they were called.
Epoxied a piece of wood in the hole then glassed it in. Filled the remaining part of the hole with resin so there was only a slight indentation. Sanded the entire stock and painted it.
I'll sell it cheap if you are interested.
