Well I have a Surefire M961 and I would like to remove the pressure pad but gosh darnit the thing doesn't want to be unscrewed or pulled out. For fear of breaking it, I thought I would consult with you professionals. Thanks for the help~ :D

Just the rubber portion itself, or the entire assembly? The assembly unscrews for battery replacement and to swap out with a pigtail and pressure plate, or toggled switch.

If it is being stubborn, use a vise and soft jaw pliers.

I would like to disconnect it here since I'm not using it right now. Do I just pull it out? Seems like it's held on pretty tight.

I have a 982xm07 and on mine I just pull straight out. Yes it is tight but I haven't had any issues.

Yang it off. It's not going to break.

Oohhhh. Hell, just swap out the whole tail-cap with a regular push switch assembly.

OR you could just call SureFire as they are right close by in Fountain Valley.
