I wouldn't order that from JLD/PTR91 anyway. Keep in mind, that's just the housing. It doesn't include the trigger group.

You can find a complete assembled semi-auto Navy lower cheaper on Gunbroker and other sources. There's a guy that posts regularly on HK-Pro that assembles and sells quality stuff. In my opinion, while the JLD/PTR guns are the best G3 clones currently going (and I own 2) and can be had at good prices, their parts and accessories are WAY overpriced.

Just my .02 cents, which I am keeping, and not wasting on overpriced parts from JLD/PTR-91 Inc.

I ordered my navy lowers from http://www.robertrtg.com/. Better prices than the JLD site and the people over there were extremely friendly.

That's some new FUD from PTR, because I've ordered that part, complete with US internals, directly from them(JLD) a couple years ago. :(

If you need a US made pistol grip to make your 922R (which you probably do), the only sources that I am aware of are JLD and Black Market Parts. BMP WILL sell and ship these parts to California. Vector might also sell them, but I havn't tried and they aren't listed on their website. JLD/PTR will sell other parts to California (your US made hammer and sear, butt stock, etc), just not the pistol grip parts.
I have personally spoken to JD at PTR, and he is a nice enought guy. The problem his is attorneys have dictated to him that he won't sell those parts to California. And yes, on the part of his attorneys it is just not understanding the law, but give JD a break.

^^^^what he said^^^^

Keep in mind that the navy housing sold by Adam, Gordon MIller and RobertRTG are genuine-hecho-en-Germany H&K and will not count towards 922r. PTR and BMP are US made and will count.

OP I may have an extra PTR U.S. made navy grip, when I get home I will search my parts bins. Will advise.

+1 for Adam Weber...

JLD is playing it safe and turning a blind eye to CA directly, even though they know full well that the PTR91 rifles are being sold here in CA through several dealers/distributors with the fixed mag or bullet button...

What do you get with a PTR? Removable mag? Pistol grip? I don't understand what your buying? I would like one if you can get one in Ca. One of my kids has a birthday soon.

I believe he is doing a parts kit build on a PTR receiver. Complete rifles can be had here as well, I got mine from Metroshot with a 10 round mag and magazine lock.

Mag lock?

I'll just give him mine. Or better yet send him money, he has his eye on a 51.

OK so I see you have to remove the ten round magazine with a tool to load the rifle. Well if that is what you have to do then OK.
