Anyone here have it? How do you like it? Can you attach any more rails to it (like at the bottom portion)?. How's the construction?

The whole point of that handguard is to NOT have rails.
YHM handguards get fat quick when you add rails and railcovers.
If you want rails everywhere, just get the regular model with all 4 full length rails.

Actually I just want a small rail near the back end of the bottom portion of the handguard, you know what I mean? I really do not want rails on the sides.

Then look at the customizable handguard.
There are screw holes on 4 sides and you can put short, medium or long rail sections anywhere you want on any of the 4 sides.

You know, I've been looking at that too. I think would probably go with the specter length handguards and have the gas block under it (I think they have that too); and just use the flip up front sights. Thanks for the info.

I have the customizable one on an SPR build I like it a lot.

I have the 5000. Love it. Really comfortable to shoot. Do not buy it if you ever want to have a forward grip though.

I like the new YHM smooth forearms, but if you get the carbine length keep in mind that it will not work with a standard front sight that is held with taper pins - you can't fit your punch in there to reinstall it! I think they designed it around their flip sight/gas blocks. I have installed one with the new MI front sight tower, but I had to cut down an allen wrench a bit in order to get in there to tighten up the setscrews. It will probably also work with most railed gas blocks.

I installed the rifle-length on one of my rifles. The rifle length one also will accept their end caps.

Ouch! Yes, lesson well learned to always back that jamb nut off a complete 1 1/2 turns on those YHM floaters :D
