I read through a few threads regarding laws and stuff (including the sticky). I'm utterly baffled right now. Can I carry this thing in Los Angeles County or what?

I just need a cheap knife for little chores at home and work and when I am out and about.

Blade length: 3.26".may be a problem in LA County - 13.62.010 Knives and daggers defined.

As used in this chapter, the terms "knives and daggers" shall include any knife having a blade of three inches or more in length;
...

13.62.020 Carrying knives and daggers in plain view prohibited.

It is unlawful for any person to carry on his person, in plain view, any knife or dagger.
Keep it concealed.

This is why one has to know where to look up the local laws - in this case, LA County Ordinances (http://library.municode.com/index.aspx?clientId=16274)

So to be safe I should stay at or below 3"?

Thanks.

So long as you keep it concealed, shouldn't matter.

But clipped to your pocket probably is not concealed - mine are not, anyway. Visible carry - open carry - must be 3" or less to make LA County happy.
