"If nobody has a gun, there's no danger."

"Right now, their plan for protecting themselves and, supposedly, all the rest of us is they'll pull out their guns and start shooting the shooter. I think that is a terrible situation - what are the rest of us supposed to do? Duck and cover? It's the gunfight at the OK Corral."

"We'd have people shooting at each other in here" (apparently that's worse than one BG shooting everyone else  )

I liked the part where she talked about her "low cost" security measure of signs and a welcome desk to remind people to keep their guns in their cars!! I was hoping Dave would ask her, "So how would your law and some signs keep a killer from entering and killing the disarmed?"

She absolutely looks like one of our clueless legislators, too! Guess before leaving the People's Republik of Kalifornia she should have researched her new home's state motto. Moron.

Throw her out hell - if she keeps this CA nonsense up in NH, they'll shoot her and leave her in the street for the buzzards to pick over. There's something to be said for not residing in a land full of sheep, no?

What a maroon -- it sure looks like she really believes that her signs will keep bad guys out, that she would rather have the bad guy shooting by himself with no one shooting back (that really puzzles me; does she think bad guys won't shoot if there is no one to shoot back? Does she think bad guys only want a fair gun fight?). That kind of willful blindness and intentional ignorance is like she's reverted to being a little kid sticking her fingers in here ears and shutting her eyes and thinking the horrible nasty logical argument will just go away and stop bothering her fantasy world.

The best thing Dave could let her do is just let her talk. This should be spread far and wide especially after the city council shooting in Mo., a no self-defense gun zone. I do admire her conviction (even admitting her bill has little chance) and hope it results in her entering the private labor pool where she can market gun free zones with high security "welcome desks and signs that say please go around"!:rofl2: Hey, anyone in sac reading this want to defend her position?

She actually thinks that law would prevent a Virginia Tech type incident at the NH state building? She does know that VT was a gun free zone, just like the zone she is trying to create. I guess she want the welcome desk persons death to be the initial warning that a shooter is in the building. Hoplophobe.

I guarantee my fellow Granite Staters will send her packing at their first opportunity - I suggest she drive about 60 miles south down Rte 95 and join her cohorts in the Commonwealth.

That's why the VT shooter was able to cause a massacre. No welcome desks up there.

If her bill does pass, I hope she is the one at the welcome desk working if a criminal does want to do a VT massacre.

It doesn't seem to bother her (or maybe it does) that having the legislature as a right to carry place has resulted in ZERO incidents in over a hundred years. Exactly how much better of a track record does she think she can achieve?

So let me get this straight, when they inform us that there is a shooter we line up against the wall close to the door and be really quiet. Wow that sounds like we are getting ready to be excecuted. I am surprised they don't put blindfolds on. 'Gun free' zones should be called what they really are. Target practice zones, Massacre zones, and Free fire zones. I am glad she is worries about having to duck and cover when the legislators start shooting, but will happily stand up in the middle of the room and inform the shooter that he forgot to read the sign and check in at the welcome desk. What a loon, and goos for the people of NH for standing up for their rights.

That just scared the crap outta me. Wow, where to begin with that one? That lady is a lunatic. What a SNAKE!! She practically rolled her eyes when she said "those gun people and their emails" referring to the people coming in droves to stop her. So she was hoping to stay low key and slip this through somehow knowing that basically the entire state is against it? A help desk??? LMAO. I could see the stupidity floating in her eyes. Please for the love of god

At the risk of ticking off the folks who were born & raised here (sometimes I think you have it worse than the rest of us, being able to remember much better times) why is it that Californians act as though they should be able to tell other adults how to behave? This is especially offensive when they are in someone else's back yard and try to change things.

Now, I realize this is a generalization - and hell, this lady may have been born & raised on Lake Winnipesaukee for all I know - but it does seem to be a fairly common CA trait.

It seems to me this girl should have better things to do with her time.

What, is she paranoid? She arrives at the state capitol and the first thing she imagines is that people are going to start shooting at her? She makes this bill a priority on her legislative agenda?

If she's that scared, she should arm and train herself on the use of firearms for self-defense in a legislative setting.

What is her e-mail address? I want to give her a piece of my mind because she really needs it. Being a teacher myself I am surrounded by antis all day at work but this chic's ignorant ramblings and total lack of critical thinking skills is even a shocker to me. Thankfully she is in a sane legislature that will prevent her from doing any harm, voting her out of office would be far more damaging since she would probably go back to teaching her idiotic point of view to children.

ROFL
the dude interviews the dumb *****, he is like, "the other legislators, they are concerned you are actually endangering them."
She blankly stares for a while like huh, no guns means no problems.
The guy then has to explain that someone who doesn't care to follow the rules might come in and try to start a massacre.
Then she is like well if everyone has a gun, they will shoot at each other.
NO SH*T THAT IS THE POINT.
I mean do you wanna just sit there and take bullets instead??

I think it's one of the unintended consequences of a society obsessed with being politicly correct. You grow up thinking that your ideas were always right, because no one ever challenged those ideas or told you that you were wrong, because that would be "narrow minded" and "politicly incorrect".

We also grow up being taught by lib school teachers that anything against the grain must be right, and anything old fashioned or long standing must be obsolete and and wrong, and that it's our civil duty to correct those who we perceive as being wrong.

So to sum up, her solution to the random potential of gun violence in the building is to disarm everyone, have a sign in desk with warning signs and to lock the doors and quietly crouch next to the door when notified that an "active shooter" is in the building.

Pure genius, who elected this Oregon, Taxachusetts, Californication former school teacher?

I came here from NY a little over 6 years ago, and every person I have met who came here from NY has been a liberal, better-than-all-of-you, know-it-all idiot...except for me of course.:D I still get a little embarrassed to tell people I'm from NY. People from NY, and the east coast in general, seem to like screwing up other states, such as Florida and North Carolina (and California too). They seem to be into moving to Tennessee right now. I don't know why. It must be the F rating from the Brady fools.

And of course alot of Californians who move to AZ, NV & OR do the same thing. You have to wonder, in fact I'd kind of like to ask one of them - "If you left CA because you like OR better, why the heck do you want to turn OR (or AZ or NV) into CA?"

It's in human nature. Look at people leaving, say, Saudi Arabia or Mexico because it sucks there, coming to the US, and trying to recreate the life they had back in those countries here. One may dislike his swamp, but it's his swamp :)
