We have been experiencing generational Incrementalism for a very long time.

When someone tries to take rights away, they have everything to gain. When you have rights in the first place, like in our country, we have everything to lose. However slowly, the erosion of rights will always lead to tyranny.

That's why the progressives hate statements such as "not another inch". They realize that the only way that you can acclimate people to the idea of removing their own freedom is to do it slowly and incrementally.

If the effort hadn't been ongoing for the past 50 years, imagine the counter-reaction that this year's crop of bills would have had. Instead, many were in favor of them of felt that somehow it wasn't that "big a deal".

So correct. When you point it out they claim that your tinfoil hat is too tight.

THIS country is migrating in the wrong direction.
