Does anyone have a link or video to a really good guide on the more advanced aspects of tuning the Timney trigger beyond the basic pull weight adjustment?

I understand some of the basic functions of the sear engagement screw and over travel screw, but before I go tuning I want to better understand the process along with what to really look for when adjusting and the reasons for it.

Another concern is the order which adjustment needs to happen for an optimal tune. For example: Adjusting and setting the over travel before moving onto pull weight and or sear adjustment if needed.

Do overtravel, then engagement, then weight.
If you tweak the engagement too much, the safety won't work anymore.
Timney does that on purpose.

With respect to pull weight and sear engagement there's a balance to be struck between the two. Increasing weight (spring pressure) allows for less sear engagement and a crisper pull, lighter weight (spring pressure) will not allow for so little sear engagement and while the pull may be softer it will be a touch longer. The difference is slight, but noticeable.

I think there's a tendency for folks to adjust sear engagement, then back off the weight and wonder why the engagement slips when the bolt is worked smartly.

Don't be surprised if it takes a fair amount of back & forth adjusting between engagement and weight.
