I've heard some rumors about not being allowed to shoot lead bullets in CA. Does this mean all rifle and pistol hard cast bullets be banned?

Anything that is worth using as an effective bullet other than lead, will probably be labeled armor piercing/cop killer.

It'll only be a matter of time before companies start making ammo available in bismuth like shotgun shells are. Even Arizona is looking at banning lead bullets in some areas.

But as of now, can I still use hard cast bullets for my pistol caliber loads?

AFAIK, the lead issue is regarding hunting in Condor areas. So, if you aren't hunting with your pistol in those areas.....

The total and complete lead ban will be coming shortly I'm sure. This victory by the anti's will only embolden them; their foot is now in the door on the lead issue.

Right now, it does not stop any target shooting in the Condor flyways, only hunting of game and large varmints.

The law does NOT cover all of California......................yet
