US model M1903A4 Springfield bolt action 30.06 Rifles. Built using original Remington-made World War II M1903A3 actions and turned-down bolts. These Rifles feature newly manufactured 4-groove Criterion barrels identical to the originals. Each receiver is carefully drilled and tapped using replicas of the original "Redfield" rings and mounts and new improved copy of the M73B1 scope (now manufactured by Hi Lux/ Leatherwood Optics, used on the 1st model M1903A4's. Each barreled action has the original military parkerized finish with polished blue stock

May want to check into this... As I understand it the Gibbs rifles are NOT C&R.

That may be Gibbs policy but, Aims has the Gibbs requiring FFL/03 good to go. SELLER HAS A BEAUTIFUL RIFLE HERE ON CG.!!!

As asinine as the whole "Original military configuration" thing is, there is no way this would fail that test. ATF's FAQ even agrees:

It is also the opinion of FTB, however, that a minor change such as the addition of scope mounts, non-original sights, or sling swivels would not remove a firearm from its original condition. Moreover, we have determined that replacing particular firearms parts with new parts that are made to the original design would also be acceptable-for example, replacing a cracked M1 Grand stock with a new wooden stock of the same design, but replacing the original firearm stock with a plastic stock would change its classification as a C&R item.

Gibbs rifles are original receivers, with new barrels and stocks designed to match the originals, with scope mounts added. Both specifically listed in ATF's guidelines.

It is a C&R.
