Can i import 20 round ruger mini 14 mag parts and make a 10 round magazine for 6.5 grendel out of them?
I am looking for a mag solution for my mini-30 that ASI converted to 6.5 grendel. Right now it uses mini 14 5 round mags that only hold 3 rounds. I have tried Promag mini 14 ten rounders but they will not work(upon chambering the first round when that round is ejected the rest of the rounds pop out of the mag)

Any suggestions would be appreciated

I don't see why not. You are not making high caps. Just make sure the mags are never assembled until you make the modifications you need to lock them at 10 rounds and you should be okay. :chris:

Not sure, but if the magazine could accept more than 10 of the original .223 rounds, you could, theoretically, get hassled for the manufacture of a 'high capacity' magazine. Maybe mark it "6.5 Grendel" just to be safe?

That is my concern also. Thought about engraving the floorplate or something. Was also thinking of modifying a C-products AR grendel mag follower to fit.
