What do you guys think? Me, I think it's great as I always use my real name and accept the consquences of doing so. If I offend someone, so what, at least you know where to look for retribution, and I'll either step up, or apologize.

Have a great gun carryin' Kenpo day

This looks like another law designed to destroy lives and waste courtroom time. It will probably be overturned then rewritten, overturned ,rewritten, overturned, re...

IOW, the nanny state marches on!

Glad this came after the time someone trolled a forum I go to and I took their e-mail address and signed it up with Homosexual newsletters, really rank type of pornographic newsletters, Penile disfunction newsletters, viagra newsletters...and you get the point, if it was funny newsletter to add the idiot's e-mail to, I did it. :43:

I'm sure now everyone one on this board will start behaving like perfect gentlemen (women) as a result of this new law.

I bet that the jerk-offs that posted "I don't know if you could be trusted with a gun" or "are you big and ugly or really just fat and homely" would have posted this BS if they had to use their real names, right....... Just like those same people would tell you the same thing if they met you face to face, right.........

I suppose that requiring people to post their real name if they "intend to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any person", would cut down on the amount of internet tough guys and trolling which may improve the quality of some of the conversation. However in the PRK police state in which we live some anonymity is a necessity.

"When there aren't enough criminals, one makes them..."

Everyone is guilty of something, aren't they?

It's all about control.

The true intent of this law was so we the people can not annoy the incumbents!

I expect this to be used against the people by others in power in government, industry, money.

Expect the political persecution to begin soon.

It's a "gotcha" law.

A "gotcha" law is a law written so vaguely that it can be used in almost any or all situations in order to be able to charge/prosecute/convict a person who otherwise is lawfully going about their business but has come to the negative attention of LEO.

Case in point is the "basic speed law". Under this vehicle code section you can be cited for OBEYING the law if the officer has a belief that you are "unsafe" without needing any standard as to what "unsafe" is or whether it applies in that specific instance or even notifying you prior to that point that your otherwise lawful acts would be unlawful.

This law is just another way to get people convicted of something to justify the money LE gets.

Yeah, when I wanna annoy someone it's most certainly from 'bwiese'.

I don't think anonymous postings woulda helped push us into AB2728 :)

Judging from how many people voted "Who is Ben Cannon?" in my recent poll, I don't think this law is going to make one iota of difference :)
