high cap magazine question

I'm being transfered to California (LA) and have several high capacity magazines (Glock, etc.) is there any legal way to bring these with me (like disassembling them so that they no longer function as a magazine) so that when I move out of LA I can again use these again.

It is legal to bring in *parts* of hicap magazines. People here also buy replacement parts for their existing pre-2000 hicap mags.

Just don't assemble your disassembled parts into hicaps while you're here in CA.
