So long story short my wife's grandfather passed away last year and had a collection of old guns. I don't have possession of these guns but my mother in law does in Washington and asked me if I could determine the value for her since I spend most of my time on the internet searching guns.... :p

Thought I would ask you guys since I know nothing about these type of hunting guns.

And please no I'll take it, I'm just looking for honest answers.

Here is the first gun. Please let me know the honest value.

From the notes:
Custom 300 win mag.

Without more information (manufacturer, model number if possible, approximate age, who did the custom work and what it is) accurate valuation is going to be very difficult, at the least.

Detailed photos of any manufacturer's or other markings would be a good place to start. I know you don't have the firearms in your possession, so you'll have to depend on your Mom or someone there to do it for you.

I asked for all of that info as well as better pics, doing some research it looks like a ruger model 77 stainless. But she says it has an RA barrel.

Who made the receiver, bolt, stock, scope, scope mounts, sling. who assembled it?

Round count?

Probably as Randall said if no special makers/parts....

Looks like a sporterized 03 Springfield. $400 bucks sounds right. Maybe a range of $350-$450.
