For sale is my father's Webley Mark VI. It was a trade from a while back.
We don't have much knowledge on the market value other than reading what's on forum boards. I registered with Gunboard Forum and educated myself slightly just to get some understanding what the market is looking for.

It is an original .455 and not modified. My father has had it stored for a while. Some image will look as if has been refinished, but it is in it's original finish. I can take standard photo of the finish, but it will look dark.

I thought I'd put an ad out here as well. If you have knowledge you would like to share in regards to my fathers Webley for sale, please post. Also, any additional image you would like to see, please let me know and I can take some more and post them here.

I couldn't quite figure out a good starting price, but I will start with $750.

I'm not a Webley expert but this photo: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c392/jgraphix73/Webley%20Mark%20VI/IMG_5572.jpg?330

Would seem to indicate the cylinder has been shaved for .45ACP since the serial number has been cut in half here. If that's incorrect by the way I'd love to hear it!

@VegasND - I am located in the city of Campbell.

@ZenMastaT - Oh ok, I was under the impression that if there was no serial number, then the cylinder was shaved for the .45ACP. I can't confirm that this is for the .45 as I do not know much about it.

I don't know too much either but I do have an identical Webley Mk. VI with an identical cut-in-half serial and a moon clip of .45ACP fits perfectly into the cylinder so that's what I'm guessing.

Thanks, I won't be up that way for months so I will be unable to take a look at it before you find a buyer.

Yes, it has been cut. I'm looking for an uncut one but the alteration is not necessarily a show-stopper.

Good luck with sale.

The cylinder has been milled for .45 auto rim or .45acp. It looks like the leaf spring for the stirrup latch is broken but it is difficult to tell from the pictures. The lanyard ring is missing from the stud and the screw from the pivot between the frame and barrel assembly is missing. It is an early MkVI since yours has a 1915 date which is the year the Mk VI was adopted. It appears to be all matching serial numbers but does have a couple issues from a collector's standpoint.

Best of luck with the sale.

Thank you all for the feedback. I really appreciate it.
I will do much more research to see if there is any desire for this Webley as I have read that a modified example is usually less desirable.

Try Apex gun parts for your missing parts (stirrup spring).

I don't see a missing pivot screw in the pics..

You're out of luck as far as the lanyard ring goes- only choice would be to go to a machine shop and have a loop made up. I'm betting Randall (AR15barrels) could do it for $30-50 depending how long it takes if you bring the material.

The missing screw is on the right side. A nice Mk6 and should be a good shooter. It will sell at the right price. Best of luck with the sale!

Thanks everyone for your help. I almost forgot about this post and I just looked into the safe and realized the Webley was still there.

It is still for sale if anyone is interested. My father has no desire to restore it.
He's looking to sell or trade.
Whats the fair value? he will sell it below the fair value to help it move.

I believe Webley Mk VIs cut for .45ACP usually sell around the $450 mark. I got mine for $480 off gunbroker (although it was supposed to be original). There's this one on calguns right now for $400 down in Riverside: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=865731

I found some webley lanyard rings on ebay:

Scoop one up, these tend to be very hard to come across
