JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Mississippi Supreme Court has overturned a lower court ruling granting an injunction preventing the state's new open-carry law from going into effect.


It may not seem like it here in CA, but We ARE winning. Slowly but surely...

Yes, good news.

Now, to just get TX to allow OC of handguns (they allow OC of long guns), and to get UT to switch to unlicensed OC and this map will be a LOT prettier....

ETA: TX should turn "peach" (HGN OC w/permit) or "yellow" (legal HGN OC w/o permit), next legislative term which, since they meet only 1x every 2 yrs, will be in 2014-15. They were busy w/other issues this term, but would have passed it if they had more time. Fortunately, TX is Shall Issue for CCWs, so there not in bad shape.
