I'm looking for a decent quality 8mm Mauser preferably a K98, M48, or a 24/47. PM me or reply for any offers. Pictures please.

Although I hope you can score one from someone on these boards (I see a few up for sale here, for example:

Or you can get a very nice M24/47 or M48 from Wideners if you have an 03FFL. I can vouch that these are in great shape. If you don't have an 03FFL there's still time to get one and order before January 1, 2014.

Can't vouch for condition on these, but they're probably fine.

Yeah now's a good time to get a Mauser. SOG has m24/47 for $199 and M48 for about 250ish. Check out Samco as well. They have some decent m24/47 at an average price.

I wouldn't buy a 8mm Mauser

You will just end up wanting more of them and then different variants and then always scrounging for ammo and then realizing how fun they are to shoot and then and then and then......

Looks like it's you against the rest of the world. Well spoken.

The chat board for your comments is one page over.

I will look and see if I have anything the OP might like.

I have a pretty scarce and historic WW1 German 1918 Danzig Kar 98a carbine that was used by Poland after WW1, reclaimed by Germany in 1939, and captured from German forces by Romania in the final days of WW2. Price is $350 - the stock set and bolt are worth more than that. Barrel is shot out - but I have nice original WW1 German 98a barrel for sale with it for $100 that could be used to re-barrel it, and would give you a very unique and interesting combat rifle for about the price of a run of the mill Russian capture 98k.

I also have a WW2 Spanish Air Force Model 1944 Mauser. These were made from German Gew 98 rifles that were supplied to Franco's forces by Germany during the Spanish Civil war, and in WW2 were modified into a VZ-24 or WZ-29 configuration rifle. This is a top quality German military Mauser with a
SCW combat history, not some kind of post-war knock-off like a Yugo M48 or Spanish M43. It comes with correct original sling, bayonet, muzzle cover, cleaning rod, and ammo pouches - all hard to find and valuable items. Price is $500.
