I need a good space heater, and found these. Was wondering if anybody has tried them.

I haven't used those. I've always used a Mr Heater.

I would use a mrheater, but my kids would be to curious and get burned.

When I use mine I put up a little gating around it. Its not really good for inside of a house, but its great when I'm camping sept thru apr

radiant heat is the best. forced warm air is nice, but I have my doubts as to how much heat energy is transfered in the air. The ones that have exposed elements with a reflector are the hottest and have the least amount of loss.

this one is what we have at work: absolutely the most kick-*** 120v heater ever. You can get these in 208/280 v 3 ph etc, but this one will get the job done. I'm not sure if it is safe over carpet, but I'd drop a tile or board down under it just to be sure.

Yep, get a radiator heater. They're portable. On low settings they do the same job, just a little slower and much more cheaper (wattage). They're completely quiet.

I got one at Lowe's for $40. Has 3 power selections (low, medium, or both for high) and I turn it on, and our honeywell air purifier next to it on low to circulate clean air (and for white noise), and in an hour our 60 bedroom is up to a comfortable 68. That way we don't run our central AC all night warming up the other 2/3rds of the house that are empty and rack up a huge bill.

deLonghi is the name brand i believe.
