I recently cleaned out my grandfather's gun cabinet that had not been touched in over 40 years. In the bottom I ran across several of these clips with cartridges marked LC 63 and some are marked LC 65 MATCH. What caliber are these and what type of rifle were they used in?. I know back in the 60's he was a marksman in the National Guard

Thanks

So could they be used in a .308 caliber rifle?

Those are 7.62 NATO aka .308 and can be fired in a .308
LC is Lake City and the match stuff is worth about $2 a round.

20 rounds of regular with green primers and 5 rounds of match with red primers

Too bad it wasn't 500 of the LC match.
