Part 1
http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=650531

I finally got around to completing this build. Since the last update I modified the forend by widening it and texturing it with bedliner. I bedded the action with Jbweld and installed bedding pillars. I recrowned the barrel and threaded it and put on my modified AMD compensator.

I dumped the rest of the resin in the barrel channel to strengthening it and give it some weight.

Now I just need to pick up some match ammo and see how she shoots. Hoping for similar result to this FTxqST9G6Xc

I just picked up a mosin and while I have not done any work to it yet... I still love the gun. Smooth, accurate, and durable. Pour a little vodka down the barrel and that solves the problem. :rofl2:

Nice looking piece. It gives me something to look forward to as I build my mosin up.

Normally I don't like Mosins and I really don't like cutting up intact military rifles.........but I like what you did. Kind of like Bubba with with some taste.

Good job.

Too much haha. It was a lot man hrs to get it to fit right. I did it mostly to practice before I try it of my more expensive bolt gun.

If you leave those in there, the gun is worth at least $4.

Why oh why is that scope mounted so high? Were the high mount rings cheaper than the low mount?

Bought the rings before I decided to knock off the rear sight block. I'll get lower rings later. I still have a lil more than a 1/4" of clearance between the scope and bolt handle.

Bondo, JB, bed liner, an IKEA WRENCH HANDLE?! I didn't see it, what did you blue with, a sharpie, bluing touch-up pen, or BBQ Grill paint?

Amazing job, turned out very nice. I hope it shoots for you.

yipes, to each his own. It wasn't too bad till you painted the stock. IMO, I think you should rattlecan some chalkboard paint on there and just live with it.

Enjoy it...

Where are you trying to blend in with that "camo" job? Looks like you used the $1 "oops" paint from HD :D

I'd go over it with flat black.

That said, your other mods look great. Let us know how it shoots!

I'm bored with black haha :D Every gun I have is black so the Jackson Polluck in me used colors I had lying around. Its a cheap gun to mess around with. Once I get bored with it then I'll probably cut stencils out and do woodland camo or a snake skin design :p. I have some PPU and russian match ammo coming in next week.

Who says I won't keke. I didn't want to spend the day cutting out stencils and just wanted to finish it and try something new.

I think she shoots ok for a $80 dollar gun from Big5 :D . The far right is the first shot in this string. The next three I slowed my breathing down and put down a .57" group. I only put 4 rds since the 5th tends to stick in the mag.

The ammo

http://imageshack.us/a/img266/1348/1mx6.jpg

I had a few gremlins haha. The loctite on the sight base didn't set and the firing pin length did not keep. I'll probably loctite that too. Also on the Bushnell 10x 40 mildot scope are the turrets inverted? The arrow points up for left windage ( clockwise) but it was the opposite (counter clockwise) to move POI left. I blew a few rounds to get on paper lol. Maybe I should pick up a few more mosins at Big five haha. I'll leave one alone for those purist out there.:oji:

Can I join the MOA CLUB haha

Thank you.
