Running 98% Yes to the question

Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms?

It's funny that the picture these bastards are using looks like a police evidence photo with the rulers in the bottom left corner.

The correct answer to that question is 'no'. The Second Amendment doesn't "give" anything. What it does is restrict government from intruding on a pre-existing right.

Vote yes or else they will report it as a win for gun control proponents.

The fact they can't word the question right is not a good reason to give them a way to skew the results of the poll.

I know.

I haven't vote in the poll because it doesn't like my browser or something. Nuts to it. With a > 98% response indicating that Americans believe the 2A is an individual right, there's no point in my struggling to take that particular poll.

Please vote this gun issue question with USA Today. It will only take a few
seconds of your time. Then pass the link on to all the pro gun folks you know.
Hopefully these results will be published later this
month. This upcoming year will become critical for gun owners with the Supreme
Court accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for individuals
to bear arms. No input info is required other than the vote.

First - vote on this one.
Second - launch it to all the pro-gun folks and have THEM vote - then we will
see if the results get published.

Actually, I was half-tempted to vote "no" to the statement that the 2nd A of the US Con gives us the right to bear arms. No, it only protects the rights given to us by our Creator. Neither the gov't nor the Constitution gives us any of our rights. See the Declaration of Independence for more details. (Off Topic: it was not a Declaration of Revolution; July 4th is not Revolution Day; and it was not a Revolutionary War -- we weren't trying to overthrown the British government.)

It's not the people who want gun controll. It's the government.

Bumped the original.I'd like to nominate N6ATF as the forum's "Dupe-Nazi." (For those who don't know, the "Soup-Nazi" was a infamous character in TV show Seinfeld and was first alluded to in the movie Sleepless in Seattle.)

Hey SAS, forget about this thread that you DUPED!?I think N6ATF feels the "urge to merge with a splurge" (as Fred Astaire once sung).

It's still there. Woo hoo! At this point it is worthless to put the same percentages, over and over and over again.
