View Full Version : Painting NodakSpud receiver?

Alright, I'm trying to decide how I want to paint my NDS-2EZ receiver. A lot of people recommend Duracoat, Cerakote, park & paint, Krylon, engine enamel, or Aluma-Hyde II.

Are there any other methods worthy of using?

I'm not too worried about it matching perfectly since I want my Bulgy AK74 to look a bit 'worn and torn' to match the furniture that came with the parts kit.

Is there a fairly easy/cheap method worthy of using? I realize it's mainly the prep-work that makes it a good paint job or not...

Is there a LGS or some other store I can purchase Aluma-Hyde at here in Orange County? I'm leaning towards the Aluma-Hyde because it seems simple, cheap, and pretty effective.
