Selling for a friend, him and I unfortunately don't know too much about it. He's just trying to recoup his money out of it. 16" unfired (except from the factory) AR15 barrel chambered in 223 Wylde. ABS's web page seems to list this one at $800. My buddy wants $700+shipping for it. He said he's not interested in any trades "unless it's something REALLY cool". I have it here at my house in San Jose.

Here's a link to the companies web page:

I'm 99% sure that it's a carbine gas system, I'll get the serial off of the barrel and email the company and see if they can tell me anything about it.

I've dealt with ABS before. Apparently they don't use "fancy telephone systems" or have a "secretary to screen calls" so they operate off of voicemails and emails. They make absolutely wonderful barrels. I've seen some impressive things come out of their shop, so it's probably worth the wait. To Blue: is this price correct? The listing on the ABS website is a lot higher.

If you find out this is a mid length, I'll take it.

Blue mearsure from the crown end of the barrel to the muzzle end of the gas block area. If it's about 6.75-7.0 inches then it's CAR length. and looking at the picture I'd bet it's carbine length gas system. ;)

Yea it's a carbine length. Haven't been able to get much out of ABS (probably due to the holidays) but I did count 6 grooves in the barrel. Don't know the twist rate yet, but I'm guessing it's on 1-9 neighborhood.
