alrighty, I've seen one thread for a Glock 35 from the fella's girl of 6 years (how awesome) and lunde picked up a pair of S&W 3-series wheelguns. Just for giggles let's hear/see what you woke up to find that Santa left for you (especially if it was a surprise!).

I cheated and got mine earlier, it's in 10-day jail until Friday (that 686-3 2.5" I found on consignment).

(non-xmas celebrators welcome too, hanukkah and atheist alike :) )

EDIT: BillCA got a pair of pistols, it looks like. :)

it's OK man, as long as it's a legally configured OLWI we won't tell anyone; if it's a 8-waffle version then that's hi-cap and not legal here in CA, sorry. :(

I got the 10x42's. The 8's would have been nice as well being a little better in low light. I can't complain. I've used my father-in-laws for a couple years now hunting and I guess he thought it was time for me to have my own.

Amongst the various non-gun presents, got a tapered gun belt from El Paso Saddlery (to match my 1890 holster), and a Shooter's Connection tournament bag (whoo hoo!).

My brother-in-law, who I have introduced to shooting (and recently acquired his first pistol) got a Gunvault from Santa Neill. Santa Neill also ordered (for his...uh, elves) a nice Armalite upper receiver (M15-a4) during the excellent sale. And somewhere in Walnut Creek there is still a stainless S&W Bodyguard on layaway...

cheers.

Santa (me) brought a brand new 10/22, and Santa's Helper (my dad) gave me money to order a new Green Mountain barrel, Hogue stock, and Bushnell scope from Midway. Course, he wouldn't let me have those items until this morning. So I opened them real quick, and while everyone else was opening gifts, I was sitting there in the living room building my rifle. :D

Aside from that, Mom bought me a Garmin Nuvi 350, but since I didn't get to see her today, I actually have had that item for about 3 weeks. :)

+1

Wife got a diamond ring that was appraised for $2600 back in October 2006 (when gold was $596 per ounce). Figure it is closer to $3K now.

I was long overdue in buying her something nice. The house remodel last year wiped our finances a bit.

I got some tools, Ken Burns "The War" series, lots of visa gift cards, scored!

My kids really loved their new rifles, My son said, "These are the best shaped presents to open" My 19 yr old daughter just kept saying, "I don't believe it" she got her first 10/22, and she told her boyfriend, you better stay in line! My 15 yr old daughter looked very disappointed she didn't get a gun, my wife said look, now she wants one, I had asked her if she wanted a rifle, she just said what for? she's a very girly girl, so she got a new digital camera to replace her broken one,

Wifey bought me a Surefire G2 LED and a 5 Stitch instructor belt from The Wilderness. Mom got me gift cards from Wally World cause she knows I can buy ammo there. The rest of my gifts were all non-firearm related.

Wife went into the local Turners and asked to pointed toward accessories for "AR-type rifles", she got the cold shoulder and a reply of..."we do not carry accessories for those cause they are illegal." She was looking for A Surefire rail mount and bipod.

Hope you all had a good one!

I got my Hornady LNL AP press, just mounted it to the workbench tonight. The shellplate is still in the mail, so I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. No other gun-related stuff. Neither my family or my wife's family gets the gun thing (I have work to do).

This year was all about the boy (it's his first Christmas). When we left my in-laws house on Christmas afternoon the back of the car was filled to the roof with baby toys.

I got the same one from my Father, my wife got me a S&W 642 which I DROSed three weeks ago and gave it to her for safe keeping until Christmas - she bought a pair of ebony Eagle grips for it and installed them so I would be suprised on Christmas. Plus I got a Jetboil that I have been lusting after for a long time. Great Christmas... I am glad I got my wife the Diamond earrings she wanted.

Man, Santa must really like you. I got a rescue 1 year old dachshund/chihuahua mix from the Carson Shelter a month ago. He's now very attached to me. Oh and he thought I'd brought the outdoors into our house when I got the Christmas tree. He loved marking that thing! Problem rectified now though. In keeping with the topic, I DROSed and picked up my Christmas present early this month. A Springfield TRP Operator with the full rail :)

ABSOLUTELY. Electric, Belgian type, 4 waffles, hard anodized removable griddle plates, adjustable heat setting, audible "done" tone. It's COOL (er, I mean "warm". Ahhh, "Crunchy"? "Toasty"? Well you get my drift.).

I wanted one because SOMEBODY WHO SHALL REMAIN BLAMELESS donated my old one to the salvation army (or some other outfit like that) without my permission.
