Just grabbed this scope from natchezz Bushnell 3200 2-7x32. Don't even have a rifle to put it on. Been shopping around for a waterproof hunting jacket. The scope's ~$70 off and if you pay s&h they'll send you a free Realttree Waterproof Jacket. Figured I might as well get a deal on a scope and a jacket rather than just a jacket.

Hmmm maybe a slug barrel for my wingmaster or marlin guide gun is in my future??

I've got four scopes that don't have rifles attached to them...

They're all older (El Paso days) Weavers and all were dirt cheap on eBay (like $10, gotta love misspellings!).

I'm a bit of a sucker for a deal...

Yes... I've bought a Night Force NXS 1-4x24 a couple weeks ago with no rifle to put on. I really don't like the feeling cause I really wanted to use it. I only bought it cause I got a pretty good deal... good thing my LaRue mount comes in today, so I get to fondle it a bit more and imagine what fun I could of had if I thought things through and got a rifle completed first.

I've bought two extra scopes in the last three months, they'll go on guns sooner or later.
I've bought reloading dies without owning a gun that shot that cartridge and I've bought bullets in calibers that I don't own.

It motivates me to buy more guns that fit my accessories.

I am also guilty of buying a scope because it was a good deal without a rifle to put it on.

How about buying holsters for firearms you don't own? :iagree:

I usually buy the gun first.

Got a couple right now awaiting homes - my feeling is that its better to have a rifleless scope that a scopeless rifle.

Im sitting on 5 scopes right now. I do some scope swapping as well so there is a rifle I own that begs for some of these.

Jeeze!

If you would have just bought my ScopeChief I would have included a free can of ScotchGard water repellent to use on your Members Only jacket.

You always gotta do things the hard way.

I bought a Nikon just the other day just because it was a good deal. I have a few spares that I take with me on shoots just in case. Sometimes I will swap scopes just to see how they look on a different rifle.

Not until you change the name to something less offensive to Indians. Next thing you'll try to sell me an Oriental rug, Mr. Sensitive.

Jeeze!

If you would have just bought my ScopeChief

Scopes not so much. Holsters, ammo(sometimes over 1000 rounds) grips, many times. And almost every time I got a gun eventually to use them.

Wait.

Now it's early, so maybe I'm not reading this right...

But are you saying that you have more scopes than rifles?!

I've only done the scope thing once but it was ~100$ off the retail price and I knew that I was going to get an air rifle at some point in the near future and I did so it all worked out.

Well this is something that Im not very proud of but here it goes. I have bought a scope first and then looked for a rifle to put it on. I know shameful

I've bought reloading components I didn't have a gun for - then went out & bought the gun. I'll bet other reloaders have done this also.

For some reason, I save my 9mm cases, even though I don't reload 9mm . Just can't part with once-fired brass.

Several, when I was a student up at Lassen college going through the gunsmithing program I got Manufacturers price (read: better than dealer price, I get the scope at cost to produce) on all leupold products, as does any student attending the program (leupold is a very kick *ss company). I bought about 5 scopes, and have only mounted two of em.

Yes, unfortunately.
