Here is a picture of my Swiss rifles. No particular pattern to what I've purchased, just whatever's appealed to me.

Compare a U.S Krag bayonet and the Swiss 1889 and you can see where the inspiration for the Krag bayonet came from!

2nd bottle is a 1 lb. cut of shellac. You can buy the bottle and the liquid shellac from http://www.homesteadfinishing.com
Swiss chocolate is used for inspiration; I eat it before, during and after.:D You can find it at Trader Joe's.
The color of the "AFTER" rifle is all natural beech with 7 super light coats of shellac over a course of an evening. I didn't add any stains or dyes. Shellac dries in 15 minutes. The stuff is wonderful to work with.

Here is a nice SIG Rifle that happens to not be a listed item in Roberti Roos or any other list.
There were about 15-20 of these that were imported into the US about the same time as the G series FN FAL'S they were also considered a Amnesty rifle.
I know what your thinking but If you have to ask how much you cant afford it.

Welcome myxd to the forum. Lot's of info here. Enjoy. Yes it is walnut, and fairly dark for European walnut.
My K31 in its new clothes. Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40mm scope, St. Marie mount and Cechmauseritis' hand tooled cheek rest.

While I don't have all the goodies the others have shown (although I do have a Mueller scope on a St. Marie mount, and St. Marie muzzle brake), and the picture may not be as nice, my K31 is one of my favorite mil-surp shooters.

Finally got myself a K31 (thanks Hopi!). She's a 1952 beech stock with a lot of nice character in the wood. I plan on refinishing the wood (shellac) and retouching the bluing eventually. I think the wood will turn out really pretty once I steam out some of the dings, bleach out some of the fossilized grease, and put a nice new finish of orange or dark shellac on her. A couple of gouges and two chips that would require work beyond my capabilities, but they're not too bad. Anyways, I am a happy man, and I would buy another gun from Hopi anyday. I highly recommend him as a seller.
Here she is right now:

The buttstock is in pretty good shape - not too much beaver chewing.

Tiger striping on a beech stock? First I've seen of it, but I like it!

I got one from hopi a while back. he's got some nice stuff... and looks like you lifted one of them!
enjoy it, horde GP11 while it's cheap, sportsmansguide dropped it from $40 to $30 again... one of the only surplus ammos that just seem to get cheaper
Here is my contribution. Purchased from a good fellow here in Calguns.
