I want one too - I'm deficient.

As long as 18" bbls min length + 26" min. overall length, you're fine.

Everyone should have a 'coach gun'.

I think they are the coolest things out there. Black rifles? Yawn. Plastic pistols. Boring. A coach gun? COOL!

With some practice it's possible to load them very quickly. They're light weight, 100% reliable, and beautiful. They're also the only type of gun which is legal to own in almost every country in the world. At some point I'm going to get one and use it in a tactical shotgun class.

Not just barrel length, but you have to deal with overall length. Don't cut the butt stock too short. ;)

Good point, I breezed by that. Will edit post, thanks.

In fact if you have a recoil pad it's a good idea to have the overall length be 26"s without the pad. Then someone can't take the pad off and get in trouble. ;)

I like to do 18.5 inches on the barrels, it lets you get a nice rounded grip without going below 26.5 inches on the grip.

Ajax, these look very nice. Did you do the stock yourself?
What are they like to shoot?

Thanks,

Yes I did the stock and barrels while sitting in front of my TV (before we got the carpets replaced, I don't think the wife would go for it again)

I used a copingsaw and a wood rasp to shape the stock and a hacksaw and a file to shorten the barrels up.

I haven't shot them yet (one needs a hammer replaced and the other needs to be tightened up a little before I shoot them)

I made them as props for a zombie film I'm working on off and on, but that project got a bit stalled out when school got buisy.

Not bad for 40$ each eh?

Will you sell me one when you're done with the movie? They look like a blast to shoot! If you decide to sell one, please put me on the list.

This thread makes me want to go out and buy Army of Darkness on DVD, because of the famous "This is my BOOMSTICK!" speech.

As I recall, that speech didn't work out too well for him, being thrown into the pit and all. :)

The speech was after he escaped from the pit.

Hahaha, I've done that (with a Stoeger, IIRC). It's hard as hell. The shortness screws my swing up, and even if I'm on target, the pattern is so big that a miss is still possible!
