So I dug my Palm VIIx out of storage and got it all up and running.
I spent some time googling palm ballistics and ended up with a copy of "Bulletware" by Mike Finch.
It seems pretty limited though as it does not have entries for elevation & humidity etc...

I looked all through the Exbal screenshots and it looks to have lots of fun stuff.
Is it worth the $70 though?

What else should I be considering that will run on Palm OS 3.5.3?

Anyone have some other freeware to try?

I saw that someone ported JBM to Zaurus, but is there a Zaurus emulator that runs on Palm OS?

How about something that would run on an iPAQ running WM2002?

What do you have that you like on pocket pc?
I'm not beyond getting an older pocket pc to play with as well...

I have it on my Treo. Works very well. I am thinking of buying the PC version so I can print out charts but I really have not seen the need to since I have verified the dope it gives me and wrote it in my log book.

What are the ballistics of a Palm Pilot?

Not very good I'd imagine.

How much power do you need to run it well? I have an older iPAQ H3970 running WM2002.

Raven, I am not sure. Everywhere I have seen it only list Pocket PC or better. I'm running it on WM6 right now. It was on WM5.

Just used exbal for the first time this weekend. We only shot out to 870 meters, but it did pretty well. I'd have to play with it some more in different conditions to see if its worth the money.

Another option would be the Fields Firing Solution...however she does not come cheap.

Blaine Fields shoots with us out here and I have seen him whip his lil Ipaq out...punch in the conditions...index his scope and make hits all the way out to 1K. We are not talking half MOA or 1MOA off..we are talking good center mass hits in wind.

+ He is a strong supporter of our community.

I downloaded and installed sharpshooter's friend tonight as well as the one MrKubota linked to.
Sharpshooter's friend is excellent.
I still need to run accuracy comparisons against JBM, but the functionality is there.
