I've been tweaking my AK pistol and I think I've got just about all the problems Ironed out (fingers crossed, knock on wood)

because its such a random hybrid of parts, I think what is happening is that the bolt is hanging up at the rearmost part of the recoil stroke.

It seems that the pistol trunion that I'm using allows the bolt carrier to move farther rearward than it should, which causes the spring inside the boltcarrier to bind against itself and hang up.

Is this a common problem? would fitting a thick recoil buffer fix this problem? How about boring the bolt carrier out a few MM with a reamer?

I think it might fix itself after I put a few hundered rounds through it... but I want to get it tweaked before I take it out to the range (its embarasing bringing something that looks really cool but doesnt work).... I had that experiance already... nothing quite like having twenty guys looking at you when your gun goes 'click'

common on builds from what i have read. most use a buffer to cure it.

+1 fastest way to cure and buffers are good anyway.
