This link was posted on another board I frequent. It's a 45-minute video (I know...45 minutes is a long time) on your rights under search and sizure laws and how to handle confrontations with the police. It was pretty informative. At least I found it to be. If it's been posted previously, I apologize.

I used this the other night when a cop stopped me at random on the road. I cracked my window open just enough to communicate and when he asked if he could open my door to write something down on a flat surface I told him I do not consent to a search and he could write whatever he wanted on my hood.

He gave up and left me alone.

Thanks.

If it helps even one person, then I'm glad I posted it. You're welcome.

It's good - but kids smoking dope and driving are not going to remember this stuff in 5 weeks - let alone five hours. It would be good if they had some obviously innocent civilians there. They also left out the park of the crooked cops who pulled you over because they "smelled pot". This has happened to me before. I never did drugs as a kid and now that I am adult I still don't - not do I associate with people who do. I got pulled over and magically my car reeked of pot. The officer lied. What to do about that? Someone should make a in dash recording system so you can have a recording of all police encounters.
