I've read a bunch of threads about how to have a legal Saiga with a Dragunov style stock. So if I'm correct, this configuration will be legal:

- Bullet-button (fixed magazine)
- Dragunov stock

If not, do I run afoul of SB23 or 922? If it's 922, how many foreign parts does the Saiga have?

Same as an AK:

Geez, why go for a thumbhole Drago stock when you can have a Saiga variant with a regular stock and use detachable magazines?

I think the Saiga 308 is gonna turn into the poor man's M1A....

I ain't poor and the Saiga 308 is not a M1A..However, I love it all the same!

Thanks for the replies, but can someone else confirm that I have to play the parts game?

Depends. If the gun came with the stock, then no. If you replace the stock, then maybe, depending on how you read 922r. Changing the stock does not really remove the sporting aspects of the weapon, but to CYA, you would need to do the 922r tango.
