Pepboys has a 12 ton press on sale for $79. Does anyone have any recommendations on whether this is worth the trouble ?

Not sure if it is the same style as the Harbor Freight 12 ton. But if it is, yes it is all you need press wise to build an AK. Mine got used and abused at the build party and it passed with flying colors.

Yeah, it's like that one. I think I'll pick it up.

Presses (and other tools) you find at places like Pep Boys are Ok for the home hobbyist. They'd fall apart if I took them to work though. :p

Should do you fine.

79.00 is a great price for a press but if I were you, tell your wife or girlfriend that you can't go to dinner for at least two times and save that 100.00 and buy the 20 ton press. I know I spent 180.00 on the harbor frieght one and it pushes everything really easily.
